LOGO DESIGN

The Make and Design Lab (MADlab) is for people to use technology, tools, and their own can-do spirit to make whatever project they are interested in become a reaily.
The logo was designed to be bold and empowering. There are supplemental logos for each of the four areas of emphasis: code, media, DIY, and business. These are designed to be used in conjunction with the main MADlab logo, often around the top area connected by the cogs.

Shop Garfield County was started by the Garfield County Libraries with the intent of raising awareness of the benefits of shopping locally. One of the main functions of the logo was to become a window cling to be hung in all local businesses.
The logo needed to convey the message to shop local, be eye-catching and bold, while also being specific enough to say what "local" actually means. I was able to use the words "shop local" as the main design in red. By encorporating the website and slogan as a wrap around, the specific details of "why" and "where" could come through.
A Spanish version was also created to be distributed to Spanish language area businesses.

The Foundation supports the Garfield County Libraries through funding for events, materials, and building projects.
This logo had to be made to match the Libraries' logo. I did so by keeping the colors and fonts the same. The books and heart are a clear image of caring and libraries.
